Bonnie Raley Photography operates a home studio in West Chester, PA, conveniently located near Brinton Lake Shopping Center in Glen Mills. My studio offers the best of both worlds:

• A cozy indoor space with props, backdrops, and accessories—perfect for newborns, babies, and children.

• A beautiful two-acre outdoor area with mature trees, a split-rail fence, and flowering landscapes for a natural, countryside feel.

Many sessions include both indoor and outdoor portraits, providing a diverse and well-rounded gallery.

Do you offer sessions outside of your home studio?

Absolutely! I frequently photograph sessions at local parks in Chester County and popular locations like Longwood Gardens, which offers breathtaking scenery. I’m happy to discuss location ideas and make recommendations.

Do you offer digital files? Can I print them myself?

Yes! All purchased digital files are high-resolution and include a print release, so you can print them wherever you’d like.

What’s the timeline for booking and receiving my images?

1. Booking – Most clients book several weeks to months in advance to secure a spot.

2. Session Prep – We’ll discuss details, wardrobe, and session specifics beforehand.

3. During the Session –I’ll guide you through poses while keeping everything natural and stress-free. Expect lots of laughter and interaction!

4. Gallery Delivery – You’ll receive a lightly edited proof gallery within 10-14 days (7 days in slower months).

5. Do I retouch images?  Yes! I provide light skin smoothing, color correction, and blemish removal as part of my standard editing process. If you have specific retouching requests, let me know!

Final images – will be available in a download gallery a few days up to a week after you let me know of your final selections.

Payment and Cancellation policy

What payment methods do you accept?
I invoice through square and accept all major credit and debit cards and cash is always KING.

What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a rescheduled session if you need to cancel.

What time of day is best for an outdoor session?

For that gorgeous golden-hour glow, outdoor sessions are best 1-2 hours before sunset. This timeframe ensures even, flattering light and stunning images.

Can you help us decide what to wear?

Absolutely! I provide style guides, Pinterest inspiration boards, and personalized recommendations to help you coordinate outfits for a timeless, polished look.

Do you offer extended family sessions?

Yes! There is no extra fee, but we must stay within the session timeframe, meaning pose combinations may be limited.

What if my child’s schedule doesn’t work for an evening outdoor session?

I understand that evenings can be tricky for little ones. Many parents adjust with later naps and full bellies, and I’ve found that children love exploring outdoors at this time. We can discuss alternate options, but natural light limitations may apply.

What happens if someone gets sick or if it rains?

If anyone in your family is sick, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. Your deposit will transfer to a new mutually agreed-upon date.

For outdoor sessions, I monitor the weather closely and will reach out a few days in advance if rescheduling is necessary.

When should I schedule a maternity session?

The ideal time for a maternity session is between 32-36 weeks, when your baby bump is beautifully round but before you become too uncomfortable. Most importantly, we’ll schedule when you feel your most confident and radiant!  Please refer to my maternity pricing page for more details.

When should I book a newborn session?

It’s best to book during your pregnancy to secure a spot but I do often take newborns once baby has arrived. Please don’t hesitate to ask if I can accomodate your little one. Since newborns arrive on their own schedule, I only take a set number of bookings per month to allow flexibility.

After your baby is born, send me a quick text or email, and we’ll schedule your session within the first two weeks of life. This timeframe is ideal because:
✔️ Babies are sleepy and easy to pose
✔️ They are still curled up for those adorable newborn shots
✔️ Baby acne hasn’t appeared yet, which typically starts after two weeks

Is there sales tax?

Yes, Pennsylvania state sales tax (6%) applies to all session fees and products.
